I love the ability to help clients make smarter decisions with their money and being able to educate them on the best option that most aligns with their goals. So much of our job is communication and interpersonal relationships, which is why it’s imperative that we know who we’re sitting across from and their unique set of goals and circumstances; no client is the same and our advice shouldn’t be either. The client/advisor relationship is constantly evolving and in need of consistent dialogue and clear communication and expectations.
I chose this field directly out of college after taking all of the Finance course my college had to offer. Immediately after college, I knew what I wanted to pursue and was driven to enroll in the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNEER™ practitioner cadre at UC Irvine, where I graduated in 2012. I started my career back in 2013 at a small investment firm in Fullerton. It was here I first learned about the comprehensive approach to financial planning and how to best put the client’s interest ahead of everything else. A short while later, I ventured out of state to the corporate side and worked with several large financial services firms, Vanguard and USAA, in various capacities, most recently as an advisor.
I proudly belong to my Alumni Associacion (Biola) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). I’ve been lucky enough to have several mentors thus far in my career who have personally taken me under their wing at different times and taught me all about the industry. Lunches, observations while shadowing client meetings and early morning coffees, these advisors have shown me both the importance of interpersonal and relationship building side and also the nuts and bolts of understanding how the markets work and always tying your recommendation back to what’s in the very best interest for your client. I earned my B.A. in Business Management from Biola in 2012 and received my CFP® certification in 2016. I am Series 7/63/65 registered and Life/Health licensed, and am currently studying for Level II of the Enrolled Agents (EA) taxation exam.

I was born and raised in southern California, and married to my beautiful wife Kristin in 2019. She’s a Clinical Assessment Specialist for Newport Academy, a teen rehabilitation treatment program, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Social Work. We live in Costa Mesa, and when I’m not at the office I enjoy surfing, triathlons, reading and weekend get-aways with my wife.
